A True Links Experience on the Sonoma Coast
Designed by Robert Muir Graves, The Sea Ranch Golf Links is one of California’s most distinctive and challenging public courses. Completed in two phases—first in 1974 and again in 1995—it introduced authentic Scottish links-style architecture to the West Coast.
The 18-hole layout blends native grasses, rugged terrain, and ocean winds to create a course that honors the land and the game. Unlike traditional manicured courses, Sea Ranch was designed to “sit lightly on the land”—preserving natural contours, wind exposure, and water limitations in line with sustainable values.
With multiple tee boxes, a practice putting green, a bunker/pitching green, and a full grass driving range, the course accommodates all levels of play. A well-stocked golf shop, carts, and a snack bar round out the experience.

“This is the closest I’ve come to a true links course. It reminds me of Scotland every time I look at it.” – Robert Muir Graves
